Ascent of Ashes is a post-apo colony sim that takes inspiration from Rimworld.

I worked for 6 weeks as a programmer on some key features like the survivor Needs, the storage system, and UI controls. It was my first professional experience with Godot (as the game has been recently ported from Unity), and this project allowed me to see how an ambitious game can set up with this engine.

While I'm proud of the work I did on the project, in a genre that I enjoy, the publisher was unable to continue financing the project. Hopefully, a new publisher will pick the project up allowing that passionate team to make their vision come true. team.


DreadOut Remastered Collection

DreadOut Remastered Collection is putting the two PC-only original games, DreadOut (2014) and Keepers of the dark (2016) in one improved package for consoles.

I took part in the herculean effort to port the Unity 4 codebase to Unity 2022. As it was expected, a lot of core systems had to be redone due to compatibility issues between these two versions and on the necessities of a console port.

That being said, it was a great experience and my second successful console port effort (after Swoon).


Automatic System AR

Oniki studios, Automatic System - 2023 - iOS, Android

Automatic System AR is an app created to help that company's clients to pre-visualize the placement of their turnstile and barrier products through augmented reality.

I was hired on the project as a subcontractor by the app developer, Oniki agency. They had trouble with Unity's latest UI system called UI Toolkit. Luckily for them, I spent the previous months working with this feature for one of my tools, ClipSync.

Thanks to my support during the final push, they were able to deliver the milestone on time.

Helping a team in difficulty is always the most enjoyable contracts as the stakes are much higher, and the impact of my contributions is immediate.


Swoon! Earth Escape

Cranky Alien Games - 2021-2023 - Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, PC

Swoon! Earth Escape is a classic 2D platformer with a 3D presentation where you play as Swoon, an alien who land crashed on a post-apocalyptic Earth. In order to escape you have to collect all the mechanical parts of your spaceship placed in each levels.

I assisted the solo developer of Swoon! throughout the end of its development. I rewrote the Character controller, helped with translation system and assisted the porting process.

I'm glad to have been able to help a fellow indie developer. Hopefully this humble first game might be his first step toward building a successful game studio.


Upscaling research project

Thanks to our texture upscaling mod for the classic Resident Evil games, the RESHDP team was contracted by an editorial director at one of the largest gaming corporations which cannot be named due to an NDA.

Our 3-person team from three different continents, spent 10 weeks producing documents, prototypes, tests and tools related to machine learning upscaling techniques for remaster projects.

I took care of the team organization, the client communication, and the development of a tool to procedurally interpolate and compare upscaling models. While I'm proud of this tool made with Python and WPF/C#, the contract made it impossible for me to showcase it to the upscaling community.

With that in mind, I'm very grateful this company entrusted a group of modders like us.


Iron Corbo: Kung Fu Janitor

Iron Corbo is a cheeky, action adventure where you play as a janitor using his mastery of Kung-fu to sweep, sanitize and smash monsters made of loitered objects.

I developed the shape-based inventory system designed by the sole developer of the game. While it is only one part of the game, its systems and mechanics are original enough to be a bulky task by itself. I'm particulary proud of the editor tools I developed for it.

It was my first paid contract as a freelancer and it allowed to test my own collaboration pipeline. I'm now still using the same set of documents and tools to manage all my freelancing contracts.


I'm still waiting for more projects to be released.
